Visiting for the first time

It is always good to arrive 5-10 minutes early before your first appointment. This allows time for a consultation to establish what you are wanting to get out of your appointment, a discussion about your health and injury history, and possibly some clinical tests depending on your needs and reason for visiting. Based on that we will discuss your treatment plan, ensure you are comfortable, and you will be left to change and lie on the massage table, covering yourself with a blanket.

Following the treatment I may retest to see whether there has been any change, and may also suggest exercises/activities to be carried out at home to help facilitate your health and well-being.

There will also be occasions where I suggest visiting another health professional, either because I believe your condition is outside my scope of practice, or further treatment can complement the massage and bodywork I carry out.

A one hour treatment involves a full 60 minutes on the table. Likewise the 90, 45 and 30 minute options involve the full time-frame on the table.

Subsequent visits will still involve discussion and testing, however your full health history will not need to be repeated.
